The House of St Barnabas

King & Shaxson Ethical are members of The House of St Barnabus in Soho, London. Since 1862 the House has been run as a charity to help those who have experienced homelessness. The private members club exists to bring together a community of people who are invested in creating a fair and equal society, whilst breaking the cycle of homelessness through the Charities integrated Employment Academy. Our membership contributes towards the employment academy that 360° support, providing work experience in our vibrant business alongside accredited qualifications from City & Guilds, real job opportunities and mentoring. The UK Sustainable Investment and Finance Association

King & Shaxson Ethical are members of UKSIF, a membership organisation for those in the finance industry committed to growing sustainable and responsible finance in the UK. The organisation has a Vision to create a fair, inclusive and sustainable financial system that works for the benefit of society and the environment. UKSIF therefore works to support and influence policymakers, regulators, financial services trade and professional bodies and other decision-makers on sustainable finance and investment issues. Our work takes place primarily at the national level, but we also get involved with relevant European and international issues through working with Eurosif, of which UKSIF is a founder member, and the Global Sustainable Investment Alliance.

Hackney Rugby Club

King and Shaxson have sponsored Hackney Rugby Club since 2012. The club has 5 teams, including a burgeoning women’s side and youth team- the Hackney Bulls, growing from strength to strength and winning several cups.

The club plays a crucial role in engaging with members of the local community by developing volunteers to support the club, as well as attracting and training new players from the area. The club remains committed to offering opportunities to the local area as well as supporting local and international children’s charities.
